Welcome to The New Lawn

Here’s everything you need to know about making your first visit to The New Lawn.

Planning Your First Visit

We've gathered some frequently asked questions about a first-time visit to The New Lawn. We're certainly not like other football clubs, so please use this guide to find out how you can make the most of your first visit.

How do I get FGR tickets?

You can buy tickets in three different ways.

Online - The easiest way is to purchase tickets online via our ticketing page (fgr.co.uk/tickets).

Telephone - The second option is to call our ticket office on 0333 123 1889 and order your tickets over the phone. The ticket office is open 9am-3pm Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday.

In-person - The third way to buy tickets is by attending The New Lawn during our weekday opening hours (you can find information here).

If you want to purchase a ticket on the day of a home match, please check social media and our website beforehand to ensure that there is still availability as certain fixtures may sell out in advance.

We strongly encourage our supporters to bring along a backup copy of their ticket for home games. We advise that fans take a screenshot of their ticket prior to their visit to The New Lawn, just incase you can't load it due to connectivity issues once you get to the stadium.

How much are tickets at FGR?

Our ticket prices for the 2024/2025 season can be found below. Please note, these are the prices for home games in the National League, and prices are likely to be different for cup competitions.

We believe that our young fans are the future of the football club - and that's why all Under-11s can attend our home games for just £1. All U16s must be accompanied by an adult.

Please note: There is a £2 print charge for on-the-day tickets.

How do I get to The New Lawn?

Forest Green Rovers Football Club is located in Nailsworth, Gloucestershire, in the heart of the Cotswolds.

Our club address is The New Lawn, Another Way, Nailsworth, GL6 0FG.

Public Transport – You can catch a train to Stroud station, and get the number 63 bus from Stroud town centre. Please note that the last service on the 63 bus is around 8pm, Monday to Friday, so it will not get you back from mid-week games. Bus timetables can be found using this link.

Park and Ride – For Saturday/weekend games, we operate a local park and ride service from Renishaw on Stroud Road (postcode: GL5 5EY and What Three Words: ///relished.hits.feared). Parking is on a first-come, first-served basis and costs £5 per car (contactless/card payments only). The service opens from 12:30pm for a Saturday 3pm kick-off.

Supporters will be made aware via the website and social media if there are changes or additional P+R services running. Please note, P+R is only currently available for Saturday/weekend fixtures.

Bike – You can cut your carbon emissions completely by cycling to The New Lawn. We have bike racks available for guests (these are found next to the Green Man pub on the way to the South Stand) and Nailsworth is part of the National Cycle Network. More information can be found here.

Cars – There is very limited parking at the stadium which is reserved for blue badge holders and hospitality guests. We always encourage you to leave your car at home, car share or use public transport where possible. Please don't park along the Tinkley Lane to approach the stadium – this is a single-track road that often gets very congested on a matchday.

Where is the Ticket Office?

You’ll spot the ticket office as soon as you come through the main gates to The New Lawn. You can collect pre-ordered tickets here, and buy tickets on the day of the match. Our stadium is now cashless, all areas of The New Lawn accept card and contactless payments.

Is there parking at the stadium?

There is no general admission parking at the stadium or official parking within the immediate local vicinity.

Park and Ride - We advise first-time visitors to use the Park and Ride facility at Renishaw, South Entrance, Bath Rd, Stroud GL5 5EY (Please note P+R is only currently available for Saturday/weekend fixtures). The P+R opens as 12:30pm for 3pm kick-offs, and the service costs £5 per car.

VIP/Hospitality - All on-site parking is strictly for VIP, hospitality and pre-booked disabled badge holders.

Season Long Parking - Season-long parking is available to season ticket holders at the local primary school. Season-long parking includes all League, Cup and Friendly fixtures. To enquire about season-long parking, please email reception@fgr.co.uk or call 0333 123 1889.

There are disabled toilets around the stadium, including one in the Green Man, two either side of the East Stand concourse and one opposite the board room.

Complimentary tickets for carers – If you need to be accompanied by a carer or assistant, we’ll give them a free ticket. You’ll need to present documentation to show one of the following:

What hospitality options do I have?

VIP Hospitality - Hospitality at The New Lawn has three options:

1 - VIP Dining in the Carol Embrey Suite

2 - The Black and White Lounge

Bookings can be made via our partner Seat Unique: https://hospitality-fgr.seatunique.com/.

3 - Private Suites can be booked by emailing hospitality@fgr.co.uk

Where is the best place to watch the match action?

There are four main areas of The New Lawn.

The North (Community) Stand - This is a standing terrace often populated by families and local community members. It's a friendly atmosphere and a chance to catch all the action from behind the goal.

The South (EESI) Stand - This is another standing terrace from which all the noise comes! So if you like a raucous atmosphere, chanting and drums, this is the place for you!

The East (Candriam) Stand - This is an all-seater stand with great pitch views and remains close to all the action. This stand also includes our hospitality with VIP dining in the Carol Embrey Suite, The Black and White members bar, and a selection of private VIP boxes. The East Stand is also great for families!

The West (DFNS) Stand - This stand is exclusively available to visiting fans. The West is a mixture of standing terraces with a limited number of undercover seats. It's unusual for away fans to have a whole side of the ground, but we feel this adds to the atmosphere and allows us to engage more first-time fans at The New Lawn. Please note that this stand is uncovered and therefore it's advised you prepare accordingly for adverse weather conditions.

Do you have a map of the ground?

Your guide to The New Lawn.

North Stand – This is our Community Stand, It's standing only but suitable for families and local groups such as football clubs and schools. There is a vegan food and drinks kiosk. The entrance is to the right of the ticket office.

South Stand – For home fans rather than families with small children, this stand has vegan food and drink facilities and a pop-up bar.

Main Reception – Reception is located in the East Stand and is the destination for general enquiries or problems on a matchday.

What makes FGR different?

Sustainability - Sustainability is central to everything we do at Forest Green Rovers. From solar panels and electric vehicle charging points at The New Lawn to our vegan menu, we are proving that sports clubs can lead the fight against climate change.

And it is working.

FIFA described FGR as 'the greenest football club in the world'. We're the first and only vegan football club and the first to be certified as carbon neutral by the United Nations.

Is there a Matchday Programme?

For the 2024-25 campaign, we will be running a digital matchday programme.

You will be able to access the programme via our social media channels prior to kick-off.

Food, Drink and Merchandise

Are you really vegan, and what food is available?

We’re the world’s first vegan football club, and our food is legendary. Time and again, visiting fans remark on how tasty our fresh, healthy vegan food is – the award-winning Q Pie, spicy pasties, veggie burgers and more. They’re available from food and drink outlets in all four stands.

Our food has become such a phenomenon that we’ve launched our own food brand. Devil’s Kitchen is taking our healthy, tasty vegan food into schools, colleges and universities around the country. Soon you’ll be able to purchase Devil’s Kitchen products from the supermarket.

Devil’s Kitchen foods are made at our purpose-built production facility in Gloucestershire, using locally sourced ingredients. We’re developing Devil’s Kitchen into a hub of vegan food innovation and a beacon of sustainability in UK food manufacturing. Try it – it’s good!

For more information visit www.thedevilskitchen.co.uk or call 01453 790135.

Is there a bar?

There are three bars open to supporters on a matchday.

The Green Man - The Green Man is found on the ground floor of the Candriam East Stand and is a home supporters bar with plenty of space to sit and enjoy a drink and order food ahead of the game. The Green Man bar closes at kickoff.  Truck Norris BrewDog Bar - Truck Norris is a retired Brewdog bar on wheels and is found in our Away Fan Zone (to the right of the ticket office). It's for exclusive use with away fans who can enjoy a Brewdog beer or two in the build-up to the match. Truck Norris closes at kickoff.

Is there a shop, and can I buy an FGR kit?

Club Shop - We have a club shop on-site across from the ticket office which is open both before and after games on matchdays.

We try to keep a healthy stock of all three FGR kits and traditional items like club pin badges, books and scarves.

Occasionally we will stock sustainable products from our club partners.

Online Shop - For those unable to visit the club shop, you can also order FGR matchday kits, training gear, travel wear, leisurewear and accessories through our online shop at fgr.co.uk/shop.

Do you sell matchday programmes?

Printed Programmes - As a club, we no longer sell or produce a matchday programme. However, in recent seasons we have invested in our online presence across our website, social media and our official club app.

These three options will provide you with the latest news and matchday build-up ahead of kickoff.

Stroud - Further afield, the local town of Stroud has ample pubs and restaurants and is only a short bus or taxi ride away from Nailsworth.

Do you have hospitality for away fans?

All hospitality at The New Lawn is for both home and away supporters.

You can look to book hospitality using this link.

Where do the away coaches park?

Any coaches from visiting teams will be parked on the main road outside The New Lawn. During the match, there is a temporary traffic restriction order on the main road, so coaches do not have to move once parked.

Away fans are advised to head to coaches at full time, so drivers have time to vacate the roads within the local area safely.
