Forest Green Rovers beat other League teams to the signature of highly-rated Oxford City defender Udoka Godwin-Malife in January.
The 18-year-old joins the club on a two-and-a-half-year deal for an undisclosed fee, with teams as high up as the Championship in the hunt for the exciting youngster.
He has made 38 appearances for the National League South side after coming up through Oxford City Nomads, including against Tranmere Rovers home and away in the FA Cup.
Godwin-Malife is a physical centre-back, who can also play at right-back, is technically gifted and is yet to make his debut for the club, featuring on the bench for the first time against Yeovil Town on Saturday, February 16.
He made his debut for the club at home to Lincoln City on Saturday, March 2, before making his full debut at right-back away to Morecambe a week later.
