The 19-year-old plays predominantly in central midfield and captained the Baggies U21s side on Wednesday evening in the National League Cup.

He has featured heavily throughout the age groups for West Brom and made his senior breakthrough during an Emirates FA Cup match in January 2024 against Aldershot Town.

Whitwell also received international recognition having representing England up to U18s level and is an exciting prospect in the Baggies Academy setup.
