Defender Kane Wilson believes that a positive mindset is the key to success in the last six games of the League Two season.
Having had a full week of training with interim boss Jimmy Ball, the 21-year-old is confident that his side has what it takes to get back on track.
"We're all professionals and we understand what football is like," he said.
"We'll go into Saturday with a positive mindset and we'll work hard and work for each other.
"A different voice or a change of scenery is always going to spark a reaction and we've all got things to prove to the new manager.
"Jimmy is very enthusiastic and in the few days we've worked with him that enthusiasm has poured out onto the training pitch.
"It gives us a platform and freedom to go and work hard."
With the top of the division getting tighter by the week, Wilson explained that the squad need no explanation as to what's at stake.
"It doesn't matter who we're playing now. Every game between now and the end of the season is a cup final, and each team will present a different set of challenges," he said.
"There's a lot of pressure on the boys at the moment. Promotion is an opportunity that some of us might not get to be a part of again, so everyone is working hard and keeping a positive mindset.
"The way we talk to each other is key and the way we feed of each other's energy could be pivotal going into these last six games.
"We all want to prove to the new manager, to the fans and to ourselves that we have what it takes.
"All the lads at Forest Green believed at the start of the season, believed during the season and still believe now.
"When we get the ball down on the ground and play fast and hard, we're a force to be reckoned with."
Enthusiasm has poured out onto the training pitch.
