Manager Steve Cotterill expects a 'spirited' and 'well-organised' display from FC Halifax Town as they Shaymen make their first trip to The New Lawn since 2016.
Rovers are in fine form and enjoying an eight-match unbeaten league run - the first time the club has enjoyed league run of the like since a promotion-winning season of 2021-22.
Wednesday night's opponents Halifax Town have enjoyed a positive start to the season - and whilst being amongst the lowest scorers in the division so far this season - their 16 goals against is the joint-second best in the league - the same number as FGR.
"They're a well-organised with some good individuals." says Cotterill. "They play as a team which I like and they look like they have a great spirit about them.
"We haven't come across too many teams who have played Halifax where we've then played them so I haven't seen a lot of them except from Sunday onwards.
"They're quite flexible with their formations, they've tended to match teams up in certain games - they may pick a team that plays in a 3-4-3 but can also roll into a back four.
"We've done our work on that so we're prepared and ready to go."
Reflecting on Saturday's 2-2 draw with Southend, experienced boss Cotterill spoke of the importance of not losing in moments you can't always win matches.
"It was always going to be a tricky game, when you have over 7,000 there in this league - Southend have probably been in this division for too long and they'll be looking to get back up there.
"There was lots of times in the game where our 8's were too high and it didn't give much space for Harry (Cardwell) to work in. We were a little disappointed with those aspects of our game."
Harvey Bunker's four goals so far this season represents his best goalscoring return in a season - something that has pleased his manager.
"I'm delighted for Harvey. I've liked him ever since I've been here and he's playing in that role that he seems to be enjoying.
"The position has stopped him passing backwards more so, and that position and body shape has allowed him to get forward more.
"I've developed players a number of times - not just with Harvey Bunker. You can only improve a player with their consent - by taking in everything that I tell them.
"Our lads get choked with information," says a grinning Cotterill. "But I'd rather give them six solutions in a moment and then I only want them to remember one, and if they do, then that's job done."
Cotterill also offered an injury update on midfielder Liam Sercombe who has recently been kept on the sidelines with a couple of niggles.
"He is progressing after he picked up a secondary injury. When he's pulled up with his calf, he's also had some groin pain - he has been desperate to get back but when doing some of the running, he's probably over-compensated a little.
"He won't be involved against Halifax but after the break we have, he may be available at Braintree - we'll have to see how he is."
