Mark Cooper's men are all set to lock horns with Mansfield Town tomorrow, aiming to bounce straight back from Saturday's defeat.
Injury-plagued Rovers make the trip to The One Call Stadium, but the Head Coach insists his side will be ready to fight for the points, regardless of who's available.
"We're not looking for excuses. We're just trying to get through this period and put as many points on the board until we get those injured players back out there," he said.
"That's not going to be tomorrow, but Elliott Whitehouse is available again which well help us.
"We're hoping Jordan Moore-Taylor will be available for us on Saturday and that would be a massive boost for us. He's a great player who works as a defender or a midfielder."
'Desire' has been one of Cooper's key words throughout the campaign, and it's something he has rarely, if ever, questioned in his players.
"If you go down to the park and have an 11v11 with jumpers for goalposts, the team who runs, fights and competes the most will win the game," he explained.
"If you don't compete in a game, it's impossible to win, and for whatever reason, we didn't compete on Saturday.
"Sometimes that can happen, you have those off-days. The bonus is, we have an opportunity tomorrow to get back on track." The Stags are one of just eight sides to beat Rovers this season, emerging victorious at The innocent New Lawn in their first game under new boss Nigel Clough.
"Nigel had an incredible effect when he came in. He's a top manager for this level and above," said Cooper.
"He always gets his teams playing well and I'm sure they'll be a real force next season. "They're always competitive in the matches they play. So they'll be a dangerous opponent.
"At this stage of the season, at least seven or eight of your 11 players have to step up every week and be better than the opponent."
We have an opportunity tomorrow to get back on track.
