We're excited to announce that goalkeeper Lewis Thomas has signed a contract extension with the Club.
The 24-year-old joined Rovers back in the summer of 2018 from Championship side Swansea City - and extends his stay in Nailsworth for a fifth consecutive season, making him the Club's current longest-serving player.
The Welshman has made 38 appearances for FGR since making the move across the border, with a key highlight being his outstanding display to defeat Bristol City on penalties in the Carabao Cup this season.
Thomas commented: "The fans have been brilliant since I first joined the club."
"There's a real family feel about the place and it's somewhere I enjoy being. I look forward to coming into work every day and that's why I've signed a new deal."
Goalkeeper Coach, Dan Connor, added: "He's so consistent in training in terms of his own performance and what he demands from others - that's why the lads respect him so much."
"He's reliable, he's trustworthy and can take his share of Luke's success this season because of how hard he pushes him as a companion and a competitor. He's the longest-serving player in the squad for a reason."
