With Exeter City up next, and just four points separating the teams, Jimmy Ball is confident that his side can build on Saturday's victory.
Despite falling behind in the second half, Rovers showed great heart to fight back and claim all three points, and the interim boss insists that is exactly what he's looking for.
"We needed that result," he said.
"The lads have bounced into training again this morning, upbeat and ready for the next challenge.
"We've got to be ready to go again tomorrow though. Once you've climbed one mountain in football, there's another one in front of you.
"I've got to pick a team to win a game. I've got a fantastic squad with young legs and loads of energy.
"I picked the team I thought would do the best job against Scunthorpe United, and I'll do the same against Exeter because they're a different challenge."

Exeter are the divisions highest scorers, with Matt Jay and Ryan Bowman scoring 32 goals between them, but Ball is wary the pair aren't the only danger tomorrow's visitors posses.
"They aren't Exeter's only threat, not at all," he explained.
"Exeter have dangerous players everywhere but we're similar in the options we have.
"Bowman is a presence, and Jay's movement and ability to anticipate things is very good.
"We've got to be equal to that challenge, and I think we will be."

But what is it that could give Rovers the edge?
"I've told the players to be unafraid of making mistakes," said Ball.
"They need to go out and enjoy it, because they're all talented players and that doesn't change with a little run of form or a few losses.
"I want them to puff their chests out and go and do what they do best. There's no magic potion for success."

I've told the players to be unafraid of making mistakes.
