IN THE DUGOUT: MARK JACKSON

Jackson was appointed as MK Dons' new Head Coach on Friday. Previous boss Liam Manning was relieved of his managerial duties earlier this month, with Jackson chosen as his successor.

The 45-year-old had been a First-Team Coach at Leeds United under Jesse Marsch before taking the gig at Stadium MK. He enjoyed a stellar playing career with the likes of Leeds, Scunthorpe United and Huddersfield Town.

Jackson's first game in charge of his new club will be against Rovers on Boxing Day. The Dons have developed a clear playing philosophy in recent years under Russell Martin and Manning - and they'll be hoping that continues under new boss Jackson.

ONE TO WATCH: BRADLEY JOHNSON

A vastly experienced operator, Johnson has scored five goals in 15 League One starts this season.

The 35-year-old signed for The Dons in the summer following his release from Blackburn Rovers. Having made over 100 top flight appearances, the ex-Norwich City, Leeds United and Derby County midfielder is one of the more experienced heads in what is the sixth youngest squad in the division.

PLAYED FOR BOTH SIDES: BAILY CARGILL

Rovers signed Cargill from MK Dons in January 2021. FGR needed to fill the void which was left by centre-back Liam Kitching, who joined Barnsley earlier that month, and Cargill was identified as his replacement.

Jan-Cargill-04

Cargill played 68 times for the Buckinghamshire side, helping them to promotion from League Two in the 2018/19 season. He found game time harder to come by in League One - and made the move to The New Lawn, where he soon added a second promotion from the fourth tier to his CV.
