We welcome Fleetwood Town to The Bolt New Lawn on Tuesday evening, with kick-off at 7:45pm. Rovers will be looking to end the season in a positive manner after relegation back to League Two was confirmed following Saturday's defeat to Barnsley, but the visitors are in rude health after thrashing Accrington Stanley 5-2 last time out.
Scott Brown took over from Stephen Crainey following the conclusion of the 2021/22 season. It’s the Celtic legend’s first managerial role having been a player-coach at Aberdeen last term.
Despite it being his first job in management, Brown has impressed in the dugout this season. The Cods are comfortably sat in mid-table, with a chance of still finishing in the top half of the table.
Brown is assisted by former Norwich City and Scotland defender Steven Whittaker. The duo played together for their country and in the early days of their career at Hibernian.
A proven goalscorer at this level, Marriott bagged himself a hat-trick last time out against Accrington and he will look to add to his tally of six goals in a Fleetwood shirt on Tuesday night. Marriott signed from Peterborough in January, bolstering Brown's attacking options along with fellow January addition Jayden Stockley. The 28-year-old scored nine goals in the Championship for Posh last season - a decent return for a relegated side.
Fleetwood will be hoping that they can get a full season of Marriott at his best in the next campaign. The last time he played a full season in League One, he finished as the division's top scorer with 27 goals back in the 2017/18 campaign.

Back in October, Rovers made the trip to Lancashire with Harvey Bunker heading in his first goal for the club in the first period.
However, Callum Morton flicked in an equaliser from five yards out on the 70th minute mark, as FGR were forced to settle for a point on the road.
