We would like to say a big Thank You to our partners Candriam who attended and hosted an activity representing FGR.
Candriam set up an engagement activity at their stand during SALONE DEL RISPARMIO, the annual biggest fair of the asset management industry in Italy, hosted in Milano in April.
The three-day event was attended by over 21,000 people, of which over 15,000 attended in person and more than 6,000 who followed the conferences in streaming.
There were more than 120 conferences, the participation of more than 150 companies, including over 100 sponsors, and more than 300 speakers.
As part of Candriam's partnership with FGR, the company makes a significant contribution to the community through the Candriam Kids Fund, which sees £10,000 per season allocated to helping to support children and young people.
Like FGR, sustainability is one of Candriam’s core values through its sustainable and responsible investment and business practices, it strives to drive positive change, and promote a more sustainable future for all.
Candriam's engagement activity was called 'SDGoals with Candriam' – a football game with Virtual Reality technology where each visitor played for a pre-set time game and obtain a final score that went into the daily ranking.
Not only was Candriam running the event, it was also raising funds for the FGR Community by scoring goals for the environment.
At the end of the day, Candriam awarded the three highest scores of the day with official Forest Green Rovers jersey.

"For this highly visible opportunity, Candriam wanted to draw the attention to the importance of addressing the 2030 UN’s agenda on Sustainable Developments Goals against the backdrop of a complex geopolitical environment.
"Engaging with visitors to raise their sustainability awareness through a virtual football game allowed us to tell the unique Forest Green Rovers’ story and the partnership Candriam is proud to hold with the Club. Conviction and Responsibility are always at the heart of our commitment.”
