The New Lawn will become a fully cashless operation ahead of the 2020/21 season, with electronic payment options across the whole site.

Rovers have been working closely with Freemans Event Partners for a number of years, deploying new state of the art EPOS tills throughout the stadium to allow fast payments for all supporters and increase the speed of service.

These units also include a 17” display screen on all of the EPOS tills, to help inform supporters on upcoming fixtures, offers and menus.

As a result of this, no cash will be accepted in any of the locations onsite, including bars, catering, ticket office and car park; as part of a move to improve efficiency, speed of service to supporters and improve hygiene.

Since deploying the new systems, we have seen a significant increase in sales in key areas like bars, catering outlets and car parks.

Supporters will be able to use a wide range of payment options, including: Visa, Mastercard, Google Pay and Apple Pay, including paying by phone or wearable devices and supporters can also pay up to £45 in contactless payments.

Dane Vince, Head of Commercial at Forest Green Rovers said:

“Supporter experience is a key focus for us as a club and something we have been focusing on across the whole stadium; and a big part of this is being able to serve as efficiently as possible.

"Last season, we introduced card payment options for the car park and the portable PDQ’s from Freemans have worked very well; making it super quick and easy. Going cashless will also help the club ensure the stadium is COVID safe.”
