Forest Green Rovers are once again in League Two action tomorrow when they make the trip to MK Dons and aim to continue their unbeaten run.
Following Saturday’s 1-1 draw with Port Vale, Mark Cooper and his side will be hoping to push on and try to claim all three points at Stadium MK.
Here is all you need to know ahead of the game:
What we said:
“We're aware we've got a tough task tomorrow - they're probably the biggest club in the league in terms of where they're at and their squad so we're fully aware that it's going to be a tough test,” said FGR boss Mark Cooper.
"I'm sure MK Dons will have a really good season. I think if you're in and around them then you won't be far away. Big club, big aspirations, so we're aware that it's going to be a tough afternoon.
"We know that they've got some really good players but so have we. We're going to go there and try and get a good result and win the game and let's hope we're on the right side of it."
What they said:
MK Dons manager Paul Tisdale said: “Forest Green have made some sensible singings. They look like they are improving as a team and have the capability of continuing to play the really good football, which they had last year.
“They are team I think can beat anybody on their day with the way they play – I think we need to have our wits about us and we should believe what we can do but we shouldn’t underestimate them at all.”
Forest Green Rovers:
As has been the case for all games this season, FGR remain injury free going into tomorrow’s encounter, but they will miss Farrend Rawson for the next three matches, after he picked up a red card against Port Vale at the weekend.
Saturday’s opponents will be missing a few key players, with Harley, Thomas-Asante and Sow all on their way back from injury and McGrandles, D’Ath and Pawlett all ruled out.
About: MK Dons
Having dropped down from League One at the end of last season, MK Dons will be looking to bounce straight back up and their unbeaten start to the season suggests they are doing just that. Over the summer The Dons brought 11 new faces through the door as well as appointing Paul Tisdale as their new manager for the 2018/19 season.
Key player: Kieran Agard
Having joined for a club-record fee in 2016, Agard has scored 20 goals for the club including 2 in the first six games of this season. Agard’s goals so far this season have both come from the spot against Oldham on the opening day of the season and against Exeter.
Forest Green and MK Dons have faced each other only once as The Dons claimed the victory in extra time at The New Lawn in the Carabao Cup first round 2017/18.
Full commentary of the match will be available on BBC Radio Gloucestershire as well as through the club’s digital audio offering– FGR LIVE.
Stay up to date on Twitter by following @FGRFC_Official, which will have all of the team news before kick-off and updates throughout the game.
There will also be key updates and team news on Facebook. Round-up the clash by checking out the club website where there will be a full report looking back on the encounter.
Tickets are still available on the day of the game so there is still time to make the trip and support the team.
