Forest Green Rovers’ free shirt giveaway is back for the fourth season running, with 400 tops up for grabs for children in the local area.

Young fans have the chance to get their hands on a free FGR replica PlayerLayer shirt at the upcoming home fixture against Morecambe on Saturday, November 17, as well as a free ticket to the game.

Ecotricity are sponsoring the giveaway, now in it’s fourth season, with the club offering 400 school children the chance to get their hands on a jersey, normally retailing at £25. The children must be in year three, born between 1/9/2010 and 31/8/2011 and attend a school in Gloucestershire or one of the FGR ambassador primary schools to be eligible for the offer.

It’s been proven that children around the age of seven pick the football club they will go on to support for the rest of their life, so FGR want to encourage them to choose their local team.

The free shirt giveaway is another part of the fantastic work the club does in the community, with a thriving ambassador scheme, regular school visits and free cookery classes at the stadium just some examples of the work the club gets involved with.

Parents of children who are eligible for the offer can register today, with the shirt available for collection at our match at The New Lawn against Morecambe on Saturday, November 17. Parents will need to bring a valid birth certificate or passport for their child to be able to collect the shirt.

The eligible child, along with a parent, will also receive a free ticket to the game when they pick up their shirt so they can enjoy the match in our Community Stand.

You can apply online now HERE, or call reception on 01453 834860 to register for your child’s shirt, although it’s recommended that you apply online and get in early to avoid disappointment as phone lines are expected to be busy.
