Centre back gets league recognition in win over Yeovil Town
Following his stoppage time winner over Yeovil Town on New Year’s Day, Rovers centre back Ryan Inniss has been included in the National League’s Team of New Year.
Inniss’ 94th minute winner helped Rovers to a 2-1 victory over the Glovers lifting us up to 2nd in the league, one point off leaders York City.
This is our towering defender's second appearance in Team of the Week with his first coming back in September following our 1-0 win over Solihull Moors.
Inniss has been involved in 19 of our 24 National League games so far this season, scoring twice and has helped keep seven of our nine clean sheets in the league.
With Inniss’ second Team of the Week inclusion, it takes Rovers total tally to 16 appearances this season.
Charlie McCann (4), Christian Doidge (2), and Jed Ward (2) have all been included in previous Team of the Week's as well as one appearance for Kyle McAllister, Liam Sercombe, Ben Tozer, Adam May, Jamie Robson and Harvey Bunker.
Congratulations Ryan, thoroughly deserved!
