Rovers on The Road

Rovers have two away days in July as part of the pre-season schedule in preparation for the 2026/27 season.  

Depending on demand, we may operate the FGR supporters coach for our fixtures against Bishops Cleeve and Merthyr Town. 

If you would be interested in travelling to either fixture, please register your interest by emailing reception@fgr.co.uk or calling us during our opening hours.  

Register your interest as soon as possible!  A decision on whether the coach will run will be made on Tuesday 23rd June.

We will then confirm if coaches will be travelling to either fixture. 

Tuesday 7th July 7pm kick off – Bishops Cleeve V FGR  

Rovers first pre-season fixture sees us travel to local side Bishops Cleeve. 

We faced the Mitres back in April, when Rovers came away as 6-2 winners at The New Lawn to win the GFA Senior Challenge Cup.  

Ticketing information 

Tickets for this fixture can only be purchased on the day at Kayte Lane.

Parking is available free of charge; stewards will direct this upon arrival at Kayte Lane. 

There is disabled parking for 3 cars, blue badges must be displayed. Parking cannot be pre-booked. 

Kayte Lane accepts both cash and card payments. 

There will be no segregation across the ground.  

Supporters coach 

Please register your interest for the coach by Tuesday 23rd June. 

Pick-up times are to be confirmed; prices will be as follows: 

Saturday 18th July 3pm kick off – Merthyr Town 

Rovers will then travel to Wales to face Merthyr Town.

Rovers have a long history with Merthyr, including a fierce title race in the Southern Football League Premier Division way back in 1998.  

Rovers signed the National League North side’s leading goalscorer Ricardo Rees back in January 2026.

Tickets will be available to purchase online by clicking here. Depending on availability, tickets might be available to purchase on the day, but we advise all supporters to purchase tickets in advance. 

There is access for disabled supporters with a flat surface around three sides of the ground.

There is also a wheelchair seating area within the Lyn Jones Grandstand. 

All areas of the ground accept both cash and cards. 

Away supporter parking will be available at the Castle Street Car Park in the town centre, approximately a 5-minute walk from the ground.
