Forest Green are delighted to announce the signings of Laurent Mendy, Tre Pemberton, and Neil Kengni from Macclesfield FC on permanent deals for an undisclosed fee.

The trio all sign following the arrival of manager Robbie Savage here at FGR – their promotion-winning boss at the Silkmen.

All three featured heavily in Macclesfield FC’s successful season winning the Northern Premier League securing 109 points in the process.

Laurent Mendy

Mendy spent four seasons with the Silkmen between 2021-2025, arriving in Nailsworth having featured in every league match for his side last campaign.

The 28-year-old played over 4,000 minutes in blue last term with three goals to his name keeping 21 clean sheets.

Versatile Mendy – known for his stamina and physicality – was also named in the Premier Division Team of the Season.

Tre Pemberton

26-year-old Pemberton signs following two successful campaigns with Macclesfield FC – racking up 44 and 43 appearances in respective seasons.

He came through the ranks at Blackburn Rovers before joining Stoke City. Spells at FC United of Manchester and Stafford Rangers followed before making becoming a regular in blue.

All-action Pemberton is a quick and dynamic right-sided player adding to FGR’s squad.

Neil Kengni

Versatile left-sided Kengni has also enjoyed an excellent spell with Macclesfield FC – also being named in the Premier Division Team of the Season for the 2024/25 campaign.

The 25-year-old previously had spells at Rochdale, Stalybridge and Marine before helping the Silkmen to success over the past two seasons.
