Forest Green Rovers are delighted to announce the capture of much sought-after centre-back Jordan Moore-Taylor on a two-year deal from MK Dons.

The 26-year-old left-footer came through the Exeter Academy and made almost 200 appearances, captaining City at Wembley twice before following Grecians boss Paul Tisdale to MK Dons.

Exeter-born Moore-Taylor insisted the free-flowing football philosophy at Forest Green implemented by Head Coach Mark Cooper proved to be the key component in his decision to sign, he said: “I had a few options, but Mark Cooper made it clear how much he wanted me, and I’ve always liked the way his side play. I’m delighted to sign and can’t wait to get going.”

Forest Green Director of Football Richard Hughes lauded the arrival of their top summer target, he said: “Jordan is a good fit for the football club and one we’ve tracked for a long time and he was number one on our list - we’re delighted to get him over the line. He is an aggressive, front foot defender and knows what it takes to be competitive in this division and he is one our fans will really form a bond with.”

Moore-Taylor becomes Rovers’ eighth signing of the summer transfer window as Cooper and Hughes continue to mould their squad, following Dan Sweeney (Barnet), Nicky Cadden (Greenock Morton), Jack Evans (Blackburn Rovers), Kane Wilson (West Brom), Luke McGee (Portsmouth), Jake Young (Sheffield United) and Jamille Matt (Newport County) to the club.
