Rovers defender Jamie Robson says all the squad will be 'up for it' on Saturday, with FGR making the trip to local rivals Cheltenham Town.
Robson was speaking after Rovers' goalless draw with Fleetwood Town on Tuesday night, which was a step in the right direction after a run of four defeats in a row.
The left-back was one of the standout performers in the stalemate, showing great energy down the flank. He was pleased with the performance, but says Rovers need to find a cutting edge in the games remaining this season.
“We were very disappointed with what happened on Saturday,” said Robson.
“To come out and prove a point was what we needed to do. To be fair, I thought we were unlucky not to get a winner.
“We had a few chances, but the final bit wasn’t there. Overall, it was a good performance.
“The final third is just a little bit off at the moment. But hopefully we can build something from now until the end of the season.”
Rovers will be hoping that they can their ruthless side in Saturday's clash with Cheltenham. It will be Robson's first taste of a Gloucestershire Derby - but he is fully aware about its significance to the FGR supporters.
He said: “I’ve played in the Dundee Derby a good few times. I have very fond memories of that one. I’d like to keep that going into this Saturday at Cheltenham.
“Derby games - there’s always a good atmosphere, a good intensity. Tackles are always flying in. They’re great games to play in.
“Everybody knows the occasion. They know what’s at stake. You don’t want to say too much now, but everybody will be up for it and we want to win."
