Rovers recorded a third win in a row as they beat FC Halifax Town 2-1 at The Shay Stadium in the Enterprise National League.
Goals from Yahya Bamba and a second half Kairo Mitchell strike gave Rovers all three points in a tight affair in West Yorkshire.
Bamba started the game brightly and forced the first real moment of danger after he skipped past his man but his effort was well-blocked in the nick of time.
He wasn't to be denied on 22 minutes, after he slotted home from inside the area after Tom Knowles' powerful drive was parried into his path.
Rovers were forced to go into half-time on level terms after substitute Turner-Cooke struck a fine free-kick into the corner from 22 yards.
Half-time: FC Halifax Town 1-1 Forest Green
Halifax created the best opportunity in the early exchanges of the second 45, Thierry Latty-Fairweather receiving precise one-two before he struck a low effort saved brilliantly by Luke McNicholas.
Rovers also pressed for a winner with fresh legs entering the game in stages of the second half.
We took the lead once more through Mitchell after some excellent work by Tom Knowles down the right-side, before calmly finding the forward who tucked home into the bottom corner.
