VsSwindon (A)

April 26th 2022James Williams

It’s a second away game in four days for Rovers as we head to the County Ground to take on Swindon Town.

Rob Edwards leads his side into the tie after the elation of clinching promotion to League One, following Saturday’s 0-0 draw with Bristol Rovers.

The hosts meanwhile earned a valuable three points away at Hartlepool United to keep themselves in the hunt for a play-off place.

WHAT WE SAID

“It was a great day and a great occasion. We enjoyed that moment and we had a really good day but we know there is still a job to do,” said Rob Edwards.

“We’ve got some really big games coming up starting with tomorrow against a really good team who are fighting for something.

“It’s a challenge for our players, after the highs of Saturday to go and show people that we can go again.”

WHAT THEY SAID

Ben-Garner-Swindon-Town

“It was a great win and we have to take that into Tuesday night and give a positive performance,” said Robins gaffer Ben Garner after their win on Saturday.

“If we can win it will put us in a really good position. We’ve just got to go out and play, play our game.

“If we take care of things on the pitch, that’s all that matters.”

TEAM NEWS

Other than the long term injury to top scorer Matty Stevens, Rovers have no fresh injury concerns heading to the County Ground.
