Matchday Preview

VsLeyton Orient (A)

October 18th 2021Conor Shaw

Rovers travel to East London this Tuesday evening to take on Leyton Orient at the Breyer Group Stadium.

Rob Edwards' side head to the O's unbeaten away from home in League Two so far this season - and on the back of a 2-0 victory over Scunthorpe United.

The hosts will be looking to bounce back from their goalless draw with Walsall on home turf on Saturday.

WHAT WE SAID

Rob-Edwards-Dugout

"It will be another difficult test for us," said Rob Edwards.

"I know Kenny Jackett and his assistant, Joe Gallen, quite well. They're really good at what they do and they're really experienced.

"Going away from home, we've got to have that respect, nulify their strengths - but of course, we've got some good players to hurt teams as well."

WHAT THEY SAID

Kenny-Jackett

"It will test us," said Orient manager Kenny Jackett.

"They've been working away for three or four years near the top end of this division - and have done it very well too. So far this season, they're powerful and cohesive in their football.

"It's a game I'm looking forward to. We need to show our defending and battling qualities against the likes of Jamille Matt."

TEAM NEWS

Udoka Godwin-Malife will be available for selection after his return to the matchday squad last weekend.

Elliott Whitehouse remains on the sidelines through injury.

GUIDE FOR THE BREYER GROUP STADIUM

Heading to London for the match? Here's all you need to know ahead of the visit.

By Rail: The nearest London Underground station to the stadium is Leyton, which is located on the Central (red) line. Leyton is an 11 minute journey by Tube from London Liverpool Street and is also easily accessible from other London mainline stations such as Kings Cross St Pancras, Euston, Waterloo, Victoria and Paddington.

Walking to the Breyer Group Stadium will take less than 10 minutes. Upon exit from the station turn right out of the station and follow Leyton High Road for approximately 450 metres until Coronation Gardens is on your left. Turn down Buckingham Road after the park and the ground will be in front of you.

By Car: Please note there is no public parking available at The Breyer Group Stadium. Being located in a highly residential area, there is also extremely limited parking in the immediate area around the stadium. We encourage supporters to use public transport for this fixture.

Many surrounding roads are for permit holders only and there are limited parking options elsewhere. If you do intend to drive to the match, please take care to avoid penalty fines when parking by reading signage and by not blocking local residents.

Visiting away fans are house in the southern part of the East Stand, accessible through Entrance D on a match day. There is capacity for just over 1,500 away supporters, including wheelchair-using fans and includes toilet and refreshment facilities.
