Rovers welcome fellow promoted side Exeter City to The Bolt New Lawn tomorrow lunchtime with kick-off at 12:30PM.
Here is all the key information ahead of the visit of the Grecians:
“I think the Papa John’s Trophy has been good for us because both games came after a defeat,” started Rovers Head Coach Ian Burchnall.
“We wanted to work on some things, try some things and try get momentum back so I think it’s been good for that.
“It’s nice to have the early game but it’s only nice if you have a good result at the end of it because then you watch the rest of the results and enjoy it.”
“We managed to do well in the game in January (against FGR) at the start of the year,” said Exeter boss Matt Taylor.
“Thais time around we need to find a way to be effective, certainly more effective than we were against Burton.
“We were disappointed with that game but now we assess who’s fit and available and put a team out that’s going to show what we’re all about.”
Trio Udoka Godwin-Malife, Matty Stevens and Harry Boyes are still out of action for Rovers and still continue to recover from lengthy spells on the side-lines.
Bailly Cargill and Jamille Matt also remain unavailable for this weekend’s game through injury, whilst it may be too early for Josh March who returned to training this week.
Rovers picked up no new injury concerns in Tuesday’s Papa John’s Trophy victory over Newport County.
