FGR head to Brunton Park to face Carlisle United this Saturday in Rovers’ longest away trip of their League Two campaign.

Rob Edwards’ side come into the match off the back of a 0-0 draw with Tranmere Rovers extending their unbeaten run to four games. The home side meanwhile have failed to pick up three points in their last three matches losing their last league outing away to Sutton United 4-0.

WHAT WE SAID

"They’ve performed strongly at home. They’ll be confident going into the game, but they’ll be disappointed with the result last week and they’ll be looking to bounce back, much like Stevenage did after our good result against them a couple of weeks ago.

"At home, they’re perhaps a slightly different proposition compared to away from home, certainly in terms of results. It’ll be a difficult game for us, and I’d like to think it’ll be tough for them.

WHAT THEY SAID

“Whoever plays we’re really looking forward to playing a very good opponent on Saturday,” said Carlisle United manager Chris Beech.

“I was pleased with the younger and older players on Tuesday because it was approached in the right manner, and we saw some very high technical aspects to our game.

“We’ve got to make sure we’ve got some vigour about us to do that again.”

TEAM NEWS

Udoka Godwin-Malife was involved in the pre-match warm up against Tranmere last Saturday as he continues his recovery from his collarbone injury. There was also good news for Baily Cargill as he returned to the bench.

Rovers have no fresh injury concerns ahead of this one.
