Experienced midfielder Liam Sercombe has been speaking to the media this afternoon (Thursday) ahead of this weekend's trip to Braintree Town - 3.00PM KO.

The 34-year-old could celebrate 700 career appearances this weekend - a milestone he says will be a 'proud moment for me and my family.'

Beginning at Exeter City, Sercombe made his debut in a 4-1 win for the Grecians away to Altrincham in what was the Blue Square Premier in August 2007.

First team coach, Rob Edwards, was also in the Exeter starting XI that day!

'Sercs' has also enjoyed lengthy spells at Oxford United, Bristol Rovers and Cheltenham Town before joining Forest Green in the summer of 2024.

He has four goals to his name this term - including a halfway line strike in the second fixture of the season - a 4-0 win away at Boston United.
