Rovers travel to Nottinghamshire on Tuesday evening
At the third time of asking Rovers head to the One Call Stadium on Tuesday night for our League Two clash with Mansfield Town.
The Stags left Nailsworth victorious back in February in what was only boss Steve Cotterill’s third game as Rovers manager.
Since then, Rovers have managed to pick up 16 points from 12 matches.
Ahead of our trip to Nottinghamshire, here is everything Rovers fans need to know about our opposition from the dugout to players to watch.
IN THE DUGOUT - NIGEL CLOUGH
For the third consecutive game, Rovers go up against one of the EFL League Two Manager of Season nominees, this time in the form of Clough.
Having been in the job since 2020, Clough has taken the Stags from strength to strength, which has seen him guide them to only their second play-off finish in League Two.
This season, Clough is looking to go one better and secure automatic promotion, which the Stags sit a single point off, and return to the third tier of English football for the first time since 2003.
PLAYER TO WATCH - DAVIS KEILLOR-DUNN
The Stags attacking midfielder is having a season to remember. He was recognised last week along with his manager after he was nominated for the EFL League Two Player of the Season award.
The 26-year-old has been the Stags most influential player and the league’s third most influential player having racked up an impressive 19 goals and 9 assists in 41 League Two appearances.
However, Keillor-Dunn is on a slightly drier patch of late having failed to score or assist in any of his last three matches, his second longest drought for the Stags this season.
JANUARY BUISNESS -
With his side playing so well at the top, Clough saw little need for reinforcements during January, with just one signing arriving in the form of striker Tom Nichols from Gillingham.
Clough, however, decided to tie down some of his current players with experienced defender Aden Flint and his defensive partner Alfie Kilgour penning new deals until 2025.
