We'll be looking to continue our impressive record of having never lost on the opening day of an EFL season, as David Horseman's side welcome Salford City to The New Lawn on Saturday.
Rovers haven't lost in their last six opening day encounters, with that including five wins and one draw. Here, we take a look at our last six opening day fixtures.
We start at the 17/18 season, Forest Green's first ever game in the Football League, when Rovers took on Barnet.
Mark Cooper's side were 2-0 up at the break, with Christian Doidge giving Rovers the advantage with a couple of goals on the stroke of half-time.
However, Rovers were pegged back with goals from Jean-Louis Akpa Akpro and Jamal Campbell-Ryce after the break forcing FGR to settle for a point.
In the 18/19 season, Rovers started the season by bringing home a successful 1-4 win against Grimsby Town.
Despite being behind at the break, FGR turned on the style in the second period, scoring four goals in a half-hour spell. A goal from debutant Carl Winchester, a brace from Doidge and also an own goal saw Rovers pick up an opening day win in Cleethorpes.
Spain international Robert Sanchez made his debut for FGR that afternoon.
The 19/20 season opener was at home Oldham, with another Rovers debutant on the scoresheet. Young forward Taylor Allen, who signed from Nuneaton Borough during that summer, came on as a second-half substitute and rifled a shot into the roof of the net to give Rovers a winning start.
Arguably the most impressive of Rovers' opening day victories was during the behind-closed-doors season of 2020/21.
For the first time in their history, Forest Green took on Bolton Wanderers in a competitive fixture in front of an empty 28,000 capacity stadium.
Winchester was once again on target in an opening day fixture, with his second half strike enough to beat the Trotters.
FGR picked up their first three points of the 21/22 season in dramatic fashion, as Ebou Adams' stoppage-time header earned Rovers a valuable three points.
In Rob Edwards' first game in charge of the club, Matty Stevens gave Rovers the lead after 30 minutes, before former FGR forward Omar Bugiel bringing the scores level with just 20 minutes remaining.
But Adams clinched a valuable three points in the dying embers of the game, as Rovers started the season how they meant to go on, winning the League Two title that season.
Last season, FGR once again opened the campaign with a dramatic 1-2 win.
Jordan Moore-Taylor gave Forest Green the lead at The Memorial Stadium after a goalless first half, meeting Regan Hendry's corner.
Another ex-FGR forward came back to haunt Rovers, as Aaron Collins grabbed an equaliser, but a delicious strike from Regan Hendry with just minutes remaining made it five opening day wins in a row.
