Forest Green Rovers have launched 1889 – a lifestyle brand and fashion range, along with an exclusive new line in the club’s AnyForty clothing collaboration.
The 1889 collection is based on the year the club was formed and includes a tee, a polo, a hoodie, a sweater, a windbreaker and a cap – all in black and featuring a stylised 1889 logo.
The new 1889 x AnyForty range is a continuation of the popular artist collaboration range from last year, but with designs from another artist from the AnyForty ranks and a fresh style.
The latest range, designed by Sydney-based AnyForty artist Dale Bigeni, focuses on key FGR imagery, including the lion and unicorn from the club badge and the Green Devil mascot, as well as highlighting the club’s green ethos.
The latest range has been exclusively launched alongside our friends at Soccerbible, who recognise the club’s innovative approach and fight to break the mould.
There are five items in the first release – including T-shirts, a hoodie, a graphic-print scarf and a temporary tattoo sheet.
More items from the collaboration will be released in the coming months, all based on the temporary tattoo sheet created by artist Dale Bigeni.
All items are sourced using environmentally friendly material and are ethically produced, with clothing prices starting at £15.
Alan Wardle from AnyForty said: "We're super proud to continue our relationship with Forest Green Rovers by following up our first collaboration last year with a whole new lifestyle brand, 1889.
“Each 1889 collection, we'll be featuring a different AnyForty artist collaboration. As Short's first designs went down so well with the fans, we felt the perfect artist to kick off this collection with was Sydney's very own Dale Bigeni.
“Dale's fine bold lines, clever detailing and his tattoo influenced style of drawing is a slightly darker and edgier progression from Short’s more light hearted, fun, character driven artwork from our first collection, yet doesn't feel too far departed from the solid flat colours and style we know the FGR fans have enjoyed.
“We're also really excited to see if any Forest Green Rovers fans will take some of this tattoo influenced artwork from fabric to skin!"
The majority of the range is available to buy online now and will be sold in the club shop tomorrow, along with a new Hummus T-shirt, which was sported by club chairman Dale Vince last week.
All items are available in adult sizes S-XXL with the 1889 T-shirt and sweater available in junior sizes for children aged three and above.
