Our new away kit is here, and for the first time, it’s not being unveiled by the star players.
That honour is going to Louie, a massive FGR fan, thanks to his dad Damian buying their season tickets in the earlybird window.
Our earlybird season ticket campaign included a fantastic competition with money-can’t-buy prizes, and getting the away kit before anyone else was one of them.
We then decided to take it a step further.
Damian and Louie will be the first to show the world what we'll be wearing on the road next season.
Louie had this to say when he saw the shirt for the first time: “It’s better than the old away kit, it’s a solid 9.5 out of 10!”
Solid feedback Louie!
As for the kit itself?
We agree with Louie, and we’re sure you will too. It’s very cool even if we do say so ourselves.
Black and electric pink, it's a bold combination that’s sure to turn heads.
And you know what we say: ‘We are at our best when we are bold!’
But the design carries more meaning than just aesthetics and looking good on the streets of Nalisworth.
The pattern is inspired by the Nemesis, a high-speed patrol vessel operated by the Green Britain Foundation as part of the Fish Net Zero initiative.
A programme dedicated to recovering lost and abandoned fishing gear from UK waters.
Ghost fishing gear is one of the most damaging forms of marine pollution, and the Nemesis plays a vital role in tackling it.
Our Chairman, Dale Vince said:
“This season’s away kit is inspired by the ocean protection work of The Green Britain Foundation. It’s a nod to the team of volunteer divers who recover old fishing nets and lobster traps - as part of our Fish Net Zero campaign. The shirt follows the livery of our high-speed patrol ship - the Nemesis.
And FGR will wear it for the next two years as part of our approach to shirt sustainability and fan affordability.”
It's the kind of story only we can put on a football shirt.
Mark Muschamp, Skipper of the Nemesis, had this to say:
“Our volunteer teams regularly dive in challenging, low-visibility waters to retrieve discarded fishing gear. It’s dangerous work that we carry out with great care and attention. Seeing FGR design their new away kit around Nemesis, taking inspiration from her striking paintwork, is an unbelievable honour. As her Captain, I can’t wait to see the team take to the pitch, wearing the colours of a vessel dedicated to cleaning up and protecting our seas.”
The kit is made by Official technical wear partner Reflo, using recycled and recyclable materials as part of their Reloop process, consistent with the club’s long-standing commitment to sustainability.
Reflo Marketing Director, Ben Stoney added:
“More kits than ever are being made, but the next generation of football fans don’t want to be the next wave of damage in the material waste cycle. This kit is inspired by the efforts of Fish Net Zero whilst also having the lightest footprint that we can create at this time.
To prove it’s not just a green win, we’ve enrolled Louie.
We can’t fake the enthusiasm of a 9 year old boy, if they love it, then we know we’re doing things the right way. IF THEY DON’T, you’ll see it on their face!
Our mission continues to be to drive significant change in sports apparel design and manufacturing. 2026 saw the expansion and commitment to the Reflo Reloop programme. This provides an end-of-life solution for every item sold, re-selling, re-making, or recycling every garment returned to us into another product journey.”

There's also a change to how our kit cycle works going forward.
The away shirt will now move to a two-year cycle, easing the financial pressure on supporters while also reducing waste.
It's a straightforward decision that reflects where our priorities lie.
The new away kit will be worn for the first time on Saturday 25th July, when we take on Cardiff City FC in a pre-season friendly.
