As we continue to build towards the new 2025/26 National League season, we take a look at the teams we’ll be facing off with in the new campaign.
Next, we take a look into the sides that either narrowly missed out on the play-offs or finished comfortably in the middle of the pack.
LEAGUE FINISH - 9th
Altrincham spent the season battling around the play-offs but narrowly missed out on them by four points.
It was struggling end to the season for the Robins who won just one of their last five games including suffering a heavy 6-1 defeat to relegated Dagenham and Redbridge.
HEAD-TO-HEAD
In two meetings between Rovers and the Robins last season, Rovers left it late to gain the points after a 2-1 home win and a 1-1 draw up in the north west.
A 94th-minute winner from Charlie McCann saw Rovers take all three points at The New Lawn before a last gasp equaliser from Christian Doidge secured a deserved point at the J Davidson Stadium.
IN THE DUGOUT
Phil Parkinson is one of the longest serving managers in the National League having been at the Helm of the Robins since 2017.
In that time, Parkinson has managed 308 games for the Robins picking up 120 wins in his time as manager so far.
TOP PERFORMER LAST SEASON
One of the Robins most influential players last campaign was attacker Regan Linney who netted 23 goals whilst also picking seven assists.
This form earned the attacker a move to Carlisle United ahead of the 2025/26 National League campaign.
LEAGUE FINISHED - 10th
Tamworth enjoyed their first season back in their National league for a decade by securing a solid 10th-placed finish.
But the Lambs highlight of the season was their historic FA Cup third round clash with Premier League and UEFA Europa League winners, Tottenham Hotspur, who they forced to extra-time but eventually fell to a 3-0 defeat.
HEAD-TO-HEAD
In two meetings last season between Rovers and the Lambs, Rovers came away with four points from a possible six.
Rovers were denied by a late equaliser on Boxing Day at The Lamb Ground before a dominant first half display saw Rovers 3-0 winners at The New Lawn.
IN THE DUGOUT
Manager, Andy Peaks, enjoyed his first season in the National League guiding them to the club’s highest-ever finish.
Peaks has managed 95 games for the Staffordshire side since taking charge in 2022 and has seen the 54-year-old pick up the Southern League Premier Central title and National League North title in that time.
TOP PERFORMER LAST SEASON
Dan Creaney ended the season with 26 goal involvements scoring 19 goals whilst picking up seven assists.
In his last 12 games of the season, Creaney scored an impressive nine goals which also saw the striker go on a five game straight scoring spree.
LEAGUE FINISH - 11th
Since being relegated from the Football League in 2023, Hartlepool United picked up their second highest finish in the National League finishing 11th.
HEAD-TO-HEAD
During two meetings last campaign Rovers picked up four points against the Pools with a Charlie McCann strike the difference at The New Lawn before a final day 1-1 draw at the Suite Direct Stadium.
IN THE DUGOUT
The Pools recently announced the hiring of experienced manager, Simon Grayson, following the conclusion of the 2024/25 campaign.
Garyson boasts an impressive CV having managed the likes of Leeds United, Sunderland, Blackpool, Huddersfield Town and Bradford City.
TOP PERFORMER LAST SEASON
For a second successive season, striker Emmanuel Dieseruvwe finished as the sides top scorer finding the net on 16 occassions.
It was seven less goals than his 2023/24 tally where he managed 23 goals but another impressive tally.
LEAGUE FINISH - 12th
Following their relegation from the Football League in 2024, Sutton United finished in a comfortable mid-table position last campaign.
The U's struggled towards the end of the season winning just one of their last five games which saw them finish eight points off the play-offs.
HEAD-TO-HEAD
In two meetings last campaign, Rovers picked up maximum points against Sutton following two 2-1 victories.
A late Charlie McCann goal saw Rovers win at the VBS Community Stadium before McCann and Christian Doidge secured the points at The New Lawn.
IN THE DUGOUT
Manager, Steve Morison, enjoyed his first full season as Sutton boos following his appointment in January 2024 and has since gone on to manage 68 games.
TOP PERFORMER LAST SEASON
Striker, Will Davies, was the sides top scorer last campaign netting an impressive 18 goals in 45 appearances following his arrival from York City at the beginning of last season.
But after just the one season at Sutton, Davies earned a move to League Two outfit Fleetwood Town ahead of the 2025/26 campaign.
LEAGUE FINISH - 13th
After a positive start to the campaign floating around the top, Eastleigh finished the season in 13th following a tough spell midway through the season.
The Spitfires ended the season winning just one of their last five games seeing them finish nine points off the play-offs.
HEAD-TO-HEAD
Rovers picked up maximum points across two meetings during the season coming from behind to win 3-1 on the south coast before winning 2-1 at The New Lawn.
IN THE DUGOUT
Kelvin Davis is still enjoying his first managerial role after taking over the club in early 2024 and has since gone on to manage the Spitfires on 59 occasions.
TOP PERFORMER LAST SEASON
Tyrese Shade was the Spitfires top scorer last campaign finding the net on 14 occasions following his move from Swindon Town.
Shade managed a brace in his sides final away game of the season at Woking which saw them earn a 2-2 draw.
LEAGUE FINISH - 14th
After double Wembley heartbreak in the 2023/24 campaign, losing in the play-off and FA Trophy finals, Solihull Moors could only manage a mid-table finish.
HEAD-TO-HEAD
Rovers picked up maximum points from our two meetings with Solihull last campaign with both fixtures ending 1-0 to Rovers.
Teddy Jenks earned us victory at the ARMCO Arena before Adam May scored Rovers’ goal of the season during the Moors trip to Nailsworth.
IN THE DUGOUT
After leaving Wealdstone in early 2025, former Shrewsbury Town and Walsall manager, Matthew Taylor took over at Solihull Moors managing 18 games last time out.
TOP PERFORMER LAST SEASON
Connor Wilkinson took the responsibility as top goal scorer last campaign netting an impressive 15 goals in all competitions whilst also chipping in with six assists.
