The warm-up to 2019/20 will give fans a chance to watch the Forest Green Rovers Academy in action at several of our usual pre-season venues.

The ‘next generation of FGR’ will take on five local sides that have previously been first-team opponents, and you can follow all the action throughout July.

The first week of July sees the Under 18s line-up at The Meadow against Brimscombe and Thrupp on Friday, July 5, before making the short trip down Spring Hill to face Shortwood United three days later on Monday, July 8. Both games kick off at 7:30.

The first weekend game comes on Saturday, July 13 as the Academy travel up to Bishops Cleeve for a 3.00pm kick off, a game which Rovers won 2-0 when the sides last met back in 2017.

The penultimate game of the season’s build-up comes with a trip to Royal Wootton Basset on Friday, July 26 with the kick off time yet to be confirmed. The FGR Academy’s pre-season comes to its conclusion at The Corinium Stadium as the U18s face Cirencester Town on Tuesday, July 30 at 7:30pm.

Along with the local fixtures, the FGR Academy will have their own pre-season camp at The Royal Agricultural College in Cirencester which culminates in home games against the Aston Villa academy and a trip to Bristol City U17s/18s at the University of the West of England.

Ticket details for the local games will be announced in due course.
