Charlie McCann and Kyle McAllister’s first-half goals saw Forest Green Rovers come from behind to beat Morecambe 2-1 at the Mazuma Stadium.
Steve Cotterill made a single change to his side that were defeated last weekend as Harvey Bunker replaced an injured Ryan Inniss ahead of Rovers final away game of the season.
Against the run of play it was the Shrimps who broke the deadlock when Charlie Brown forced an error out of Vicente Reyes to bundle a shot over the line on 30 minutes.
But Rovers responded quickly as eight minutes later McCann levelled the game delicately lifting a close ranged effort over Archie Mair.
The turnaround was complete shortly after when Christian Doidge fed McAllister into the area for him to send a low driven effort into the far corner.
Both sides had chances in the second half, but it was the goalkeepers who put on a show to help out their respective teams.
Harvey Bunker tested the Shrimps ‘keeper on 51 minutes with a low driven effort from outside the box but it was well pushed behind.
Just after the hour mark, it Reyes kept Rovers in front when he got down quick to deny a driven Gwion Edwards effort from 18-yards.
Doidge came close to getting himself on the scoresheet twice firstly being denied by a fantastic point-blank range stop from Mair.
Then on 70 minutes Mair pulled off another reaction save from a Doidge flicked near post header, keeping the Shrimps in the game.
Reyes made sure all three points were heading back to Nailsworth when he threw himself across his goal to deny Joel Senior’s free-kick attempt on 90 minutes.
Rovers will look to finish the season with back-to-back wins when we return to The New Lawn to face Notts County for our final game of the League Two season.
