Forest Green produced an excellent all-round display to beat Sutton United 4-0 at The New Lawn in the National League on Wednesday evening.
A brace from Kyle McAllister was backed up by a goals from Jordan Moore-Taylor and debutant Harry Whitwell in a sparking victory.
Rovers made the perfect start from the penalty spot after Nick Haughton was upended inside the area before McAllister confidently found the bottom corner.
McAllister almost doubled his tally after connecting with Jayden Clarke's cross but he volleyed over the crossbar.
Rovers weren't to be denied that second goal as soon after Jordan Moore-Taylor stooped to head home his first of the campaign.
McAllister tested Sims just before the break with a rasping drive from the edge of the area but Sutton's shot-stopper did excellently to tip around the post.

The U's started the second half brightly, Jayden Harris having an effort cleared before Eduino Vaz struck over the crossbar from the edge of the area.
McAllister thundered an effort off the crossbar combined with some excellent reflexes by Sims before Kairo Mitchell headed just wide.
Laurent Mendy also whistled a strike past the post as Rovers pressed for more.
Rovers got their third on 70 minutes when Whitwell held off the challenge and slotted home calmly past Sims on his debut.
Just minutes later, McAllister doubled his personal tally with a well taken finish following some excellent work by Jili Buyabu to round off an excellent evening under the lights.
