Forest Green produced a dominant display to beat Buxton FC 4-0 in a behind closed doors friendly at The New Lawn on Friday afternoon.
Goals from Trialist A, Kyle McAllister, Christian Doidge and Adam May gave Rovers a comfortable win in hot conditions.
Tre Pemberton exchanged a neat one-two with McAllister in the early stages before the full-back delivered a deep cross for Yahya Bamba but couldn't control his volley on target.
Rovers broke with speed through Laurent Mendy and Bamba - the latter finding Charlie McCann on the move but his low effort was well saved by the Buxton goalkeeper.
Soon after, McCann played a quick one-two with McAllister but his driven low cross into a dangerous area evaded all players in the box.
McAllister was next to send a teasing cross into the box but just in front of both Trialist A and Bamba.
Rovers opened the scoring on 32 minutes as Mendy pounced on a loose pass, he found McCann who then teed up Trialist A to finish low into the bottom corner.
McAllister played an excellent forward ball between centre back and full-back to find Trialist A but his strike was saved by Cooper.
Rovers came inches away from a second when McCann teed up Pemberton but his deflected strike went just over the crossbar.
Bamba was next to make a driving run forward before cutting the ball back for Isaac Moore but he struck wide of the post.
Rovers doubled the lead on the cusp of half-time when McAllister cut inside, exchanged a crisp one-two with Trailist A and slotted low into the bottom corner.
