Goals from Jamie Robson and Jordan Garrick during a clinical first-half saw Forest Green Rovers secure a vital 3-0 win against Crewe Alexandra.
Steve Cotterill made two changes from his Rovers side that were defeated on Friday as Charlie McCann and Dominic Thompson both returned to the starting 11.
Rovers started the game on the front foot and their early pressure was rewarded just 15 minutes in when Garrick opened the scoring with his first Rovers goal since April 2023.
Christian Doidge slotted Garrick through one-on-one for him to calmly place a low effort underneath the onrushing Tom Booth.
Crewe could have hit back shortly after if not for some heroic defending by Jordan Moore-Taylor who hooked a looping header off the line.
But Rovers continued to apply the pressure and stunned their hosts with a quick-fire double before the half-hour mark.
Garrick doubled the lead and his tally with a poachers finish poking a Ryan Inniss header past Booth on 26 minutes.
Two minutes later, Robson found himself highest up the pitch to glance a delicate McCann cross into the bottom corner for his first goal in the EFL for Rovers.
It could have been more before the break when Emmanuel Osadebe turned smartly in the area but saw his effort come back off the post.
Crewe came out fighting in the second period and could have found a way back into the if not for some fine stops from Vicente Reyes.
On 47 minutes, Reyes denied Elliot Nevitt getting down well to tip a low effort round the post before denying Nevitt moments later with an incredible save from point-blank range.
Reyes made sure of his and Rovers third clean sheet in their last six matches when the Chilean out did himself getting down to deny Shilow Tracey from very close range on 72 minutes.
It’s into the final five games of the season for Rovers which starts on Saturday as we welcome MK Dons to The New Lawn for our League Two clash.
