10-man Forest Green Rovers were defeated 1-0 by Barnet FC away from home on Tuesday evening with Zak Brunt scoring the winner.
Four minutes into injury time the Barnet midfielder was slotted in through on goal and he took his opportunity well.
Forest Green went down to 10 men in the 74th minute as Sean Long brought down a Barnet winger on a counter-attack to earn himself a harsh second booking.
The rest of the game was rather quiet as two sides with strong defences, both clearly well-drilled, who stood firm.
Kyle McAllister had the ball in the back of the net in the 28th minute but the goal was ruled out due to a foul given by referee Andrew Humphries as Christian Doidge nudged their goalkeeper.
The best opportunity the away team had otherwise was McAllister forcing the Barnet goalkeeper, Nick Hayes, into a save at the second attempt.
