Forest Green Rovers shared the spoils with Aldershot Town in a game that finished 3-3 at the EBB Stadium on Saturday afternoon in the opening fixture of the Vanarama National League.

Hady Ghandour opened the scoring in just the seventh minute of the game with a good finish from just inside the box.

Just minutes later, he doubled the lead for the hosts with a scoop that lobbed Ward after Ghandour worked the ball on the left side of the box.

Rovers pulled one back through Ryan Inniss less than 10 minutes later as he rifled a half-volley into the top left corner after a whipped delivery by Harvey Bunker. 

Three minutes after the break, McAllister equalised with a low finish through the keeper's legs after a diagonal ball from Charlie McCann.

Christian Doidge completed the comeback in the 57th minute when McCann delivered another diagonal to McAllister who laid it off to the number nine before slotting it home past Dewhurst. 

Aldershot scored again in the 80th minute as substitute James Henry salvaged a point for the hosts with a well-taken effort from around the penalty spot after a cross from Ghandour.
