Forest Green Rovers were unable to advance to the second round of the FA Cup after falling to a 2-0 defeat at the hands of Luton Town.
Both goals came in the first half as the League One side did enough to see out the victory.
Luton veteran, Jordan Clark made a dazzling run into the box and played in Emilio Lawrence, who was able to beat Ethan Ross with a right-footed shot into the far corner of the net.
Not long before the end of the first half, Clark doubled Luton's lead with a similar finish to the goal scored 35 minutes previously.
Daniel Gore slipped in the Luton midfielder who converted from the centre of the box.

It was a foggy afternoon at Kenilworth Road as Forest Green Rovers took on Luton Town in the first round of the FA Cup.
Despite a bright start for Rovers, it was The Hatters who drew first blood; Clark's clever dribble allowed Manchester City loanee, Lawrence, to run into a pocket of space inside the box and slot his effort into the far corner to make it 1-0.
Rovers didn't let the unfortunate start lower their energy; Jayden Clarke took an ambitious shot from long range that tested Josh Keeley, and Bryan Ifeanyi's curled effort from just inside the box was sent just over the bar due to a deflection.
With just 10 minutes left in the first half, Luton created a chance through a free kick which landed at the feet of Daniel Gore; his shot from the edge of the penalty area was heroically saved by Ethan Ross.
Swiftly after, debutant Ryan Rydel sent a low driven ball across the box that landed at the feet of Will Grigg; however, after a clash of legs with goalkeeper Josh Keeley, the ball was out of control for the veteran striker.
Despite the chances and possession FGR had, Luton Town proved to be the more clinical side.
Gore picked up the ball in a dangerous area outside the D and, with runners at his disposal, he accurately slipped Clark through on goal; the pass saw the Luton legend convert with a powerful shot beating Ross from the centre of the box.
Despite a promising first half, Forest Green fell two goals behind the Hatters with a hill to climb in the second 45'.
There were three bookings in the first half, with Rydel, Johnson and Ifeanyi having their name written down by the referee.

The first chance of the second half fell to the Town as a cross from goalscorer Lawrence floated through the box and forced a routine save from Ross.
Substitute Palmer showed an impact immediately, playing Callum Marshall through on goal; a rough touch didn't allow the Northern Irish striker to get a shot away; instead, he laid the ball off to Lawrence.
Forest Green's number one was equal to his curled effort.
Gore was booked not long after and was the last player in the match to go into the referee's notepad.
Shortly after Ross's save, Kelly saw himself with space on the edge of the box and took a low driven shot that ended up hitting the outside of the post.
Not disheartened by the missed chances, FGR continued to create; a smart pass from Sean Etaluku teed up Tate Campbell, who found Kelly in space once again; despite this, the Liverpool loanee sent his shot wide of the left post.
In an effort to claw the game back, the away side made four changes; Rydel and Grigg came off for Neil Kengni and D'Mani Mellor, while Kelly and Ifeanyi came off for Joshua Osude and Oli Ewing.
Missed chances were the recurring theme for Forest Green Rovers; it was a promising performance overall and heads can be held high, but the more clinical side advanced in the FA Cup.
