Forest Green Rovers Women take on Sherborne Town Ladies in their first away game of the year on Sunday in the Southwest Regional Premier Division.
Rovers were on their way to Torquay last Sunday, but the game was eventually postponed due to a knock-on effect from the weather, which means the side’s most recent result is still a 2-1 win at home to Frampton Rangers.
League Leaders MAP were in action last Sunday and defeated St Austell 8-1, extending their lead at the top to eight points from FGR, who sit in second with three games in hand.
Sunday will be the first time that Sherborne Town have played a game in 2025 - they currently sit fourth in the table on 18 points, four behind Rovers.
The match officials for the clash in Dorset are Dean Atkins and Stephen Brealy. Atkins last officiated a Forest Green game as linesman in October 2023 - an away loss to MAP - whilst Brealy was linesman for the win away at Bishops Lydeard earlier this season.
The two sides have not met since November 2023, when FGR drew 2-2 to Sherborne Town at Hartpury University. The goal scorers for Forest Green were Alana Hunt and Hattie Jones.
