Forest Green Rovers make our first ever trip to The MGroup Stadium to face Oxford City for our FA Trophy fifth round tie.
Joe Quigley’s brace against Chorley in the previous round helped set up our first trip to Oxfordshire since 2022.
Ahead of our first meeting with the National League North side, here is everything Rovers fans need to know about our opponents.
The Hoops achieved their highest ever status in the football pyramid spending the 2023/24 season in the National League, but it was short lived as the side finished bottom of the table.
But in the FA Trophy, some success is being achieved as the Hoops have reached the fifth round in back-to-back seasons and even reached the quarter-finals last campaign.
Confident wins over Sporting Khalsa, Hadley and Biggleswade Town has set up this tie against higher opposition for the first time this tournament.
Back down in the National League North this season, they currently find themselves in 18th after winning just one of their last five games.
Ross Jenkins returned to the club at the beginning of the 2024/25 season following a very brief spell in charge of Boreham Wood.
Jenkins departed the Hoops initially in early 2024 after two years with the club - only to manage Boreham Wood for eight games before his early shock sacking picking up three wins, three draws and two defeats.
Back for his second spell at the Hoops and Jenkins has now managed 125 games for the Oxfordshire side.
Josh Parker offers a wealth of experience having made 136 EFL appearances along with a handful in the UEFA Europa League.
The 34-year-old forward recently made over 100 appearances for the club and this season has chipped in with five goals and four assists.
Parker has also racked up an international CV representing Antigua and Barbuda receiving 44 caps alongside six goals for his country.
