Forest Green Rovers go on the road for the first time in 2025 as we travel to the J Davidson Stadium for our National League clash with Altrincham.
It’s Rovers' first trip to the Robins since 2015 where we came away 1-0 winners during our current six-game unbeaten streak against our opponents.
During our previous meeting back in August, Rovers left it late to win 2-1 as a 94th-minute Charlie McCann strike earned Rovers three points on our opening home game of the season.
Ahead of our trip to Greater Manchester, here is everything Rovers fans need to know about our opponents.
THE OPPOSITION - ALTRINCHAM
After recording an impressive 4th place finish last season, the Robins have enjoyed another excellent season so far with the club sitting 6th after 26 games.
In all competitions, the Robins are enjoying a four-match unbeaten streak and it’s also just one defeat in their last nine games highlighting their current success.
Our hosts have also booked their spot the FA Trophy fifth round following a 3-1 victory over Barnet, setting up another tough tie against fellow National League side Eastleigh next weekend.
IN THE DUGOUT - PHIL PARKINSON
Phil Parkinson (not of Wrexham) has been at the helm since 2017, and this season is edging ever closer to 300 games managed with the club.
This is Parkinson’s second managerial job with his first club being with Northern Premier League side, Nantwich Town, between 2015-2017.
PLAYER TO WATCH - REGAN LINNEY
Regan Linney is having a fantastic season in front of goal netting 15 goals in 25 appearances, making him the club’s top scorer and the league’s second top scorer so far this season.
Linney has also managed to grab six assists this campaign, the most he’s recorded for the Robins since signing in 2023.
After joining from FC United of Manchester in 2023, Linney has made 75 appearances for the club scoring 35 goals whilst adding 10 assists to his tally.
