Forest Green Rovers Women look to record back-to-back wins as they face their longest trip of the season to take on AFC St Austell.
Louise Fensome’s side fought for a 3-2 win last time out against Frampton Rangers with a Mary Brittain header and Erin Williams double completing the comeback.
The victory took the side up to second in the Southwest Regional Premier Division and onto 26 points with three games in hand on league leaders MAP who are on 39 points.
Sunday’s opponents find themselves in the unique position of sitting on minus three points, having been deducted that amount earlier in the season. St Austell are currently bottom of the league and sit 14 points off safety.
St Austell have been defeated in all 12 of their league fixtures so far this season, and have the worst defensive record in the league.
The matchday officiating team for this fixture will consist of a junior official, Jonathan Harris, Timothy Cook and Paul Kempen.
It was all the way back in December 2023 that the two sides last took on each other which ended in a 4-2 victory for the side in green. Goals from Rhian Robbins, Tori Taylor, Hattie Jones and Annie Martin were the difference at Hartpury University.
