Hornchurch F.C are in the midst of their first-ever season in the National League, having clinched promotion in the National League South play-offs last season.
A 3-2 win over Torquay United in May was enough to see The Urchins promoted.
The jump to the National League hasn’t stopped the East London side, as they have continued their impressive form into this season.
The club has gone through a few name changes, previously being called Upminster Wanderers and Hornchurch & Upminster in its early history.
This Saturday, Forest Green and Hornchurch will face each other for the first time.
The manager – Daryl McMahon
Daryl McMahon has managed Hornchurch for two years, overseeing two top-half finishes and a promotion.
The Irishman led his side to a runners-up finish last season, winning 23 games and obtaining 81 points.
Last season's promotion was not McMahon’s first, as he took Ebbsfleet United up to the National League in the 2016/17 season.
He previously took charge of Macclesfield Town before a three-year stay at Dagenham & Redbridge.
One to watch – Aaron Rowe
Aaron Rowe signed for Hornchurch this summer and has started life in the capital with a bang.
The 25-year-old has scored in both of his appearances for the Urchins, contributing to two league wins.
The London-born attacker previously scored in the Championship for Huddersfield and made two Premier League appearances as a youngster.
Rowe is coming off the back of a three-year stint in League Two, where he played 84 times, scoring four goals and assisting nine for Crewe and Gillingham, respectively.
