All you need to know on 'The Gas'
Forest Green Rovers’ pre-season continues as we welcome Bristol Rovers to The New Lawn.
Rovers will look to make it four wins in four in pre-season as we continue our preparation for the upcoming season.
Robbie Savage’s side welcomes League Two opposition Bristol Rovers this evening, with the Gas’ last visit coming in March 2023.
Charlie Savage scored the only goal for FGR in a 3-1 loss at home to the Gas.

The 2026/27 season will mark Bristol Rovers’ second season in League Two after relegation from League One in 2024/25.
In Steve Evans’ side’s last outing, they held Championship team Portsmouth to a 1-1 draw at the Memorial Stadium.
The North Bristolian outfit ended last season in flying form, winning eight of their last ten games, drawing one against 5th-place Notts County and losing to eventual winners Bromley.
Tuesday’s visitors form on the road was mixed last season, ending with seven wins, four draws and 12 losses.
It has been a busy summer so far for The Gas, having signed eight players.
Richie Smallwood, Kofi Balmer, Ben Purrington, Tommy Leigh, Tom James, Ciarán Kelly, Bobby Kamwa and former Forest Green man Jack Aitchison are the new boys at Bristol Rovers.
Evans is the man currently at the helm of Rovers.
The Scot took charge of Rovers in December 2025 after a poor run of form was enough for former manager Darrell Clarke to receive his marching orders.
Since his appointment, the 63-year-old has managed 27 matches, winning 14, drawing three and losing ten.
The experienced Evans has an impressive CV, including Leeds United, Rotherham United, Stevenage and Crawley Town, to name just a few, accomplishing promotions with the latter three.
Fabrizio Cavegn's debut season saw him score 15 goals in all competitions for Bristol Rovers in 43 appearances.
The 23-year-old put pen to paper at the Memorial Stadium after two seasons at his previous team, FC Vaduz in Liechtenstein.
The striker scored 14 goals in 38 appearances for Vaduz in the 2023/24 season before netting 21 the following campaign, including goals in the UEFA Conference League.
Cavegn was the goalscorer in his side’s last game against Portsmouth and has featured for the Switzerland U21 team.
