Forest Green Rovers return to The New Lawn this weekend with Boston United the visitors.

Rovers will be looking to extend their three-match unbeaten run after Tuesday night's well-earned point in Cumbria.

Robbie Savage’s side won their last outing in GL6, beating Gateshead 4-0.

Boston are into their third season in the Enterprise National League following their promotion in 2024, winning the National League North play-offs.

Since returning to step one, United have finished 19th and 12th and will be hoping to build on their midtable finish last campaign.

It’s not been an easy start to the campaign for Boston, with the Pilgrims winless in their last five outings.

The Lincolnshire club currently sit 17th after their opening eight matches.

Like Rovers, Saturday’s opponents were also in action midweek, drawing 1-1 with Woking.

United’s two wins so far this campaign have both come in August, against Solihull Moors and Altrincham.

The Manager

Paul Hurst has been in charge of The Pilgrims since January, replacing Graham Coughlan.

Hurst had previously managed Boston between 2009 and 2011 and won the National League North during his first spell.

The 51-year-old has a lot of experience in the EFL with spells at Grimsby Town, Ipswich Town, Scunthorpe United and Shrewsbury Town.

During his time at Shrewsbury, Hurst won the League One manager of the season accolade after guiding Salop to the play-off final; however, his side narrowly fell short against Rotherham United.

Since moving to the Jakemans Community Stadium, Hurst has taken charge of 29 games, winning 11.

One to Watch

 Ollie Bostock joined Saturday’s opponents on loan from West Bromwich Albion last week.

Bostock made his debut for The Pilgrims last Saturday in their 3-1 defeat to Wealdstone.

The 19-year-old got off the mark for the Baggies first team last season, scoring against Oxford United in the Championship.

The Wales youth international came off the bench in Albion’s recent Carabao Cup clash at Newcastle United, before joining Paul Hurst’s side on loan.
