After a busy month, some valiant and controlling midfield performances, Charlie McCann has been named Rovers’ Quorn Star of the Month for March.

It was a close battle in the online poll with Adam May receiving 32% of the vote, just shy of McCann's 34%.

McCann started and played in six of Rovers seven games in what was a busy March for Rovers.

The 22-year-old started against the likes of Maidenhead United, FC Halifax Town, York City, Sutton United, Southend United and AFC Fylde but missed Saturday’s win over Solihull Moors through injury.

In that time frame, McCann registered one goal and one assist for Rovers, opening the scoring in our 2-1 win over Sutton after setting up Kyle McAllister for his goal against Halifax.

McCann has featured in 37 games for Rovers in all competitions this season notching up a career best nine goals so far alongside eight assists.

Those numbers have also seen the midfielder included in the National League’s Team of the Week six times this season, the most of any Rovers player.
