It’s a double swoop for Kyle McAllister who has been awarded Rovers’ Quorn Star of the Month and been named in the National League Team of the Week.
McAllister earns his second Star of the Month award this season after featuring in all seven games for Rovers in the month of February.
The 26-year-old picked one goal last month, driving a dagger of a strike into the bottom corner away at Dagenham & Redbridge whilst also picking is only assist of the month that game to set up Charlie McCann.
Away from scoring and assisting, McAllister’s work in the build-up to goals and off-the-ball has been vital to Rovers picking up points in February.
McAllister has featured in 37 games for Rovers across all competitions this season and earned his place as Rovers’ most productive player tallying up nine goals and nine assists so far.
And after his tricky display during our 2-0 win over Maidenhead United on Saturday, McAllister was named in National League’s Team of the Week for a second time.
That brings Rovers’ tally to 22 appearances in the Team of the Week with McCann (5) leading the way, closely followed by Jed Ward (3), Christian Doidge (2), Liam Sercombe (2), Ryan Inniss (2), Jamie Robson (2) and now McAllister (2).
Ben Tozer, Adam May, Harvey Bunker and Joe Quigley all have one appearance in the Team of the Week to their names.
Congratulations Kyle on your brace of awards following a fantastic month!
