FGR are very excited to announce the signing of James Berry on a season-long loan from EFL League One side Wycombe Wanderers.
This exciting 25-year old midfielder joins us following a successful loan at Chesterfield last season in League Two, playing 33 games and getting five goals and four assists in the process.
The gaffer had this to say about James:
"It’s a dream come true to be reuniting with James and bringing him to Forest Green.
He is undoubtedly one of the best talents I have ever worked with, and his ability is unquestionable.
Like all the young players we bring to the club, the aim is to help them to be the best they can be.
And the best James I know, the one who helped Chesterfield to get out of the National League before a move to Wycombe, will be a huge asset to the club.
At this point in his career, he wants to play every week, score goals, have fun, and play with a smile on his face.
I’ve no doubt that because of the relationship I have with him, we can make that happen together.
He’s another exciting, edge of the seat player to have at The New Lawn this season, and you fans are going to love him."
James will be joining the rest of the squad at The Candriam Training Centre for pre-season training.
