David Horseman has made four changes to his side that beat Scarborough Athletic ahead of Forest Green’s League Two clash with Grimsby Town.  

Troy Deeney is suspended for today’s fixture following his fifth yellow card of the season against Tranmere, but Dom Bernard returns after serving his one-match suspension. 

“Tyrese [Omotoye] comes in for Troy and Jacob comes into the number 10 role. This is mainly for fresh legs,” Horseman said.  

Jacob Maddox returns to the squad after he was rested in midweek as Charlie McCann is absent due to his international involvement with Northern Ireland u21s. 

17-year-old Jesse Aldridge could make his League Two debut as he handed a place on the bench and Reece Welch replaces Darnell Johnson. 

 “Darnell is building up fitness so it would probably be a bit risky to do the two the games in two days. 

 “What this does do is gives us loads of legs and it should be exciting to watch,” he said.
