Forest Green are pleased to announce the signing of Harry Whitwell from West Bromwich Albion on a season-long loan.

The 19-year-old plays predominantly in central midfield and captained the Baggies U21s side on Wednesday evening in the National League Cup.

He has featured heavily throughout the age groups for West Brom and made his senior breakthrough during an Emirates FA Cup match in January 2024 against Aldershot Town.

Whitwell also received international recognition having representing England up to U18s level and is an exciting prospect in the Baggies Academy setup.

On the signing, Manager Robbie Savage said: “Harry is an excellent addition who comes with excellent pedigree given his rise through the age groups at West Brom.

“He adds enthusiasm, quality, and energy to our midfield that we’ve assembled here at Forest Green and we're very pleased to get the deal over the line.”

Harry will wear the number 25 shirt.
